Cryptogeny nace en Diciembre del 2009, después de haber estado conformada anteriormente bajo el nombre de Cryptospuridium, banda con la cual se comenzó a trabajar en un Death Brutal y Técnico que ya se tenía en mente desde proyectos anteriores.
El 31 de Diciembre del 2009 Cryptogeny integrada en ese momento por Alejandro Camacho (Voz) y Luis Mora "Necro" (Guitarras y Bajo), y apoyados por Martin Martinez (Xipe Totec, Yatrogeny, Foeticide, Eclectic Spawn, Dew OF Nothing, Everbleed) como mùsico de sesión en la bateria, comienzan a grabar un EP de 4 canciones en el M.A.T. Studio.
